Important: Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation require especially careful assessment. No laser treatment can guarantee complete pigment clearance or prevent recurrence, particularly with ongoing sun exposure or hormonal triggers.
Green Toning and Redness
StarWalker can also be used in protocols aimed at visible redness and selected vascular concerns. Its green VERDE™ 532 nm mode is designed to target oxyhemoglobin, the pigment within blood vessels, which can make it useful for appropriate cases of facial redness and superficial vascular lesions.

StarWalker is a high-performance laser system for tattoo fading and removal. Its multiple wavelengths can be selected to target a broad range of tattoo pigment colours. During treatment, very short pulses fragment tattoo ink into smaller particles; the body's immune system then gradually removes those particles over time.
StarWalker may be used for:
Black and dark-blue ink
Red, orange, and some yellow tones
Green ink, using the R650D handpiece designed for green tattoo colours
Professional and amateur tattoos

Tattoo removal is a process, not a single appointment. The number of sessions varies significantly based on ink colour, density, depth, tattoo age, location, skin type, immune response, and whether the tattoo was professionally applied. Some tattoos may lighten substantially but not disappear completely, and certain colours can be resistant to treatment.
Your Treatment Experience
Your appointment begins with a personalized consultation. We will review your treatment goals, Fitzpatrick skin type, medical history, medications, previous laser experience, recent sun exposure, and any history of pigmentation changes or scarring.
During treatment, you may feel quick snaps or warmth against the skin. Comfort measures and treatment settings are adjusted based on the area and indication. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, darkening of pigment, or mild crusting can occur, depending on the treatment performed.
For tattoo removal, temporary whitening or "frosting" of the tattooed skin can occur immediately after treatment. This is a normal short-term response. Treatments must be appropriately spaced to give the skin time to heal and the body time to clear fragmented ink.
Results and Aftercare
Skin-brightening results develop gradually as pigment clears and the skin renews. A series of treatments may be recommended depending on the concern being treated. Tattoo removal typically requires multiple sessions, spaced according to your provider's protocol and your skin's healing response.
After treatment:
Protect treated skin from direct sun exposure.
Use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily, as directed.
Avoid picking, exfoliating, or applying irritating active products until the skin has healed.
